Praia de Copacabana

The beach of Copacabana is the most famous and democratic of all Brazil, or maybe of the world. Rich and poor, whites and blacks, natives and tourists in harmony and relax. One of the most beautiful beach is the crescent moon shape of the stones framed Portuguese whites and blacks, one of the symbols of the city. The beach is 4.5 kilometers long and divided into 6 "postos" (towers of lifeguards). The strip of sand close to the Siqueira Campos street and Cardeal Arcoverde square, where there are subways, is frequented by the people that live distant from the sea. Near Copacabana Palace you can see a large number of tourists and gays (near the "gayosque" - kiosk gay). Young people are in the area close to the Constante Ramos street, where many play futevôlei, or near the street República do Peru. 

Moreover, the scenario is of great feasts, shows, free concerts and one of the most famous New Year celebrations in the country.
Between the fortress of Duque de Caxias and Princesa Isabel Avenue the beach and the district are named Leme. The Leme beach is a continuation of Copacabana beach, but more quiet and frequented by local residents and from Botafogo, and beach soccer's players.

La spiaggia di Copacabana è sicuramente la più famosa e democratica di tutto il Brasile per non dire del mondo. Poveri e ricchi, bianchi e neri, nativi e turisti in armonia e relax. Una delle immagini più belle della spiaggia è la sua forma mezzaluna incorniciata delle pietre portoghese bianchi e neri, uno dei simboli della città. La spiaggia è lunga 4,5 km e divisa in 6 “Postos” (le torrette dei bagnini). La striscia di sabbia vicina alla via Siqueira Campos e alla piazza Cardeal Arcoverde, dove ci sono le metropolitane, è frequentata dagli abitanti dei quartieri più distante dal mare. Vicino all'hotel Copacabana Palace si vede un grande numero di turisti e gays (vicino al "gayosque" - chiosco gay). I giovani di Copacabana stanno nella zona vicina alla via Constante Ramos, dove molti giocano a futevôlei, o vicino alla via República do Peru.
Inoltre, è lo scenario di grandi feste, spettacoli, concerti gratuiti e di una delle più famose feste di capodanno del Paese.
Dal forte Duque de Caxias fino all'Avenida Princesa Isabel la spiaggia e il quartiere si chiamano Leme. La spiaggia è una continuazione della spiaggia di Copacabana, però più tranquilla e frequentata dagli abitanti del quartiere e di Botafogo e praticanti di beachsoccer.

Urca

Urca is a small residential area whose main attraction is the Pao de Açucar. The Urca and Vermelha beaches are not good for swimming, but can take a walk along the Claudio Coutinho trail which is worth while!!!
The European Institute of Design will be located in the old and famous Building the Cassino da Urca and TV Tupi.
I recomend you the buffet restaurant of Praia Vermelha: it´s simple, cheap and food is quiet tasty. The bar Garota da Urca is a great place to spare the time too, see the sunset from the small walls of Urca is beautiful.

L'Urca è un piccolo quartiere residenziale la cui principale attrazione è il Pan di Zucchero. Le spiagge Vermelha e Urca non sono buone per fare il bagno, ma una camminata nella pista Claudio Coutinho vale la pena.
L'Instituo Europeo di Design avrà sede nel vecchio e famoso pallazzo del Cassino da Urca e TV Tupi.
Conviene mangiare dal buffet del ristorante Praia Vermelha: semplice, economico e saporito. Il bar Garota da Urca è un bel posto per passare il tempo. Vedere il tramonto dalla piccola mura della Urca è bellissimo.

Enseada de Botafogo

The Enseada de Botafogo, popularly called Praia de Botafogo (Botafogo Beach), is an indentation in the Bay of Guanabara. With the Pan di Zucchero is one of the most beautiful postcards of the city. 

I tell you that it is my home. In the morning before going to work I ran (from the gas station to the monument Estácio de Sá), and at night I played soccer.
Unfortunately I've never jumped in the water (and I advice you not to bath), because the water is too polluted. It's safer doing a visit in the morning when many people are practicing walking and gymnastics. 
Reached through two subways, buses and track cycling. On Sundays the street is closed to traffic, making it a big area to playing sports and concerts.

La Enseada de Botafogo, popolarmente chiamata Praia de Botafogo (spiaggia di Botafogo), è una rientranza nella Baia di Guanabara. Insieme al Pão de Açúcar (Pan di Zucchero) è una delle cartoline più belle della città.

Posso dire che è la mia casa. Di mattina prima di andare al lavoro ci andavo a fare la corsa (dal distributore di benzina fino al monumento Estácio de Sá) e di sera giocavo a calcio.

Purtroppo non ho mai fatto il bagno (e vi consiglio di non farlo), perché l'acqua è troppo inquinata. E’ più sicuro fare la visita di mattina quando molte persone si mantengono in forma praticando camminate e ginnastica.

Raggiungibili attraverso due sottopassaggi, autobus e pista ciclabili. Di domenica la pista è chiusa al traffico, rendendo così una grande area libera in cui si svolgono attività sportive e concerti.
